Prosthetics and Special Effects

This piece was created as a part of Foam Latex Level 2 course at VancouverFX in which Natasha learned how to create larger foam latex pieces and paint foam to look like skin. Pictured is the sealed, seamed, pre-painted piece before application. All pre-painting was done with 99% alcohol activated paints.

Foam latex gargoyle prosthetic created by artist Natasha Klock as a part of the Foam Latex level one course at VancouverFX. In this course Natasha learned how to sculpt for prosthetics, how to combine human anatomy and bone structure and fantasy to create something new but rooted in reality.

Created at VancouverFX as a part of Silicone Prosthetics Level 3 class, Natasha learned how to sculpt and apply silicone prosthetics. Learning skills such as how make a TC-1630 core, to molding with resin, encapsulation for silicone appliances, and running silicone pieces.

This makeup was meant to create the effect of syphilis without modern day medicine. Very much inspired by the makeups in the movie The LIbertine (2004).

Out of Kit bruise and cut wound makeup effect done with no prosthetics. This look was achieved with a bruise wheel, 99% alcohol activated paints, and thick blood FX.
